Rahu is not a planet per se, rather it is the north node of the moon and is known as the dragon's head in Vedic astrology. The north node of the moon is the north point on the moon's orbit which crosses the ecliptic.

Hessonite is the stone of Rahu and can be a very powerful stone. It is similar to Blue Sapphire and because of it's destructive power, it is feared by many. Navigators and travelers, detectives and spies, criminals, revolutionaries and even anarchists are all influenced by Rahu and would benefit from hessonite.
